It's great to see what Tear, World Vision and Compassion are doing in regards to Christmas gifts that make a difference for communities in developing countries. A great Christmas gift.

You could sponsor a child on someone's behalf for the first few months, eg. from christmas to march, and then let them continue with it after that, therefore they would remember who helped them with it originally, plus it really (for most charities who sponsor poor kids) is only like a dollar a day. its pretty much a very inexpensive gift but one that makes the heart and soul be thankful and appreciative for what we have and others dont.
